Welcome to FS1/Nursery

Mrs Dalton is the class teacher, with Miss Haxby supporting each day. 

We currently offer 15 hours of nursery provision each week. Our sessions run daily from 8.50 to 12.00. The first ten minutes of the day is additional time to allow children to settle in and parents to speak to staff if they wish. 

We offer a skills-based provision across our Foundation Stage, with children having daily access to group time talk, story, song and rhyme and continuous play provision indoors and outdoors. 

We offer free breakfast cereal, milk and fruit to our children daily. We ask that you please provide wellington boots for your child and then send your child to school each day with fresh water in a water bottle and a coat suitable for the weather. 

We use the Seesaw class app to communicate with families and share our learning, and we really value the input of our families. It is lovely to see the children continuing their learning at home and sharing their adventures outside of school. 

This half term we have settled the children in through exploration of our core nursery rhymes. This has allowed us to introduce some early key skills and model how to use our areas of provision. The children have enjoyed taking home song and rhyme bags for each nursery rhyme to share with their families. Take a look at our adventures this half term.
