What a fantastic half term autumn 2 was in class 6. We loved our focus text ‘Shackleton’s Journey’ as we received job offer letters, took part in interviews and used an S plan to map out a motivational speech. We also enjoyed our trip to Crucial Crew where we took part in real life scenarios, including a courtroom

Autumn 2

Year 6 loved their last topic 'Darwin's Delights'. The children took charge of their own learning and found key dates in the life of Charles before using a text map to show this information.

Autumn Term 2017

We hope that you have had a wonderful Summer holiday. I am looking forward to a brilliant year with your child.

This half term we will be covering the topic ‘Frozen Kingdom’. We will also begin working on the year 6 curriculum and I have no doubt that your wonderful children will flourish at every opportunity this year.

Year 6 had a wonderful time at Beaumanor Hall on our residential trip this year. The children faced a lot of fears (especially heights) and had a go at a range of different activities.

Year 6 enjoyed canoeing on residential. We found out how a lock works and despite the water being cold we still got our feet in!
